Movistar, main sponsor of the 4K-UHD Summit 2016

The second edition of this meeting focused on Ultra High Definition will bring together prominent professionals from around the world in Seville on November 10 and 11.

Telefónica will be the main sponsor of the second edition of the 4K-UHD Summit, where it will present its plans related to Ultra High Definition, through the Movistar+ platform.

In the coming weeks, Movistar and Medina Media, as organizer of the event, will specify the participation of the Spanish multinational in the second edition of the 4K-UHD Summit, which will once again be held at the Hotel Ribera de Triana in Seville, on November 10 and 11. The objective of this international summit is to bring together the best professionals from the world of content and the world of 4K-UHD technology to share experiences and solutions.

This event has positioned Spain on the world map of Ultra High Definition, bringing together in its last edition more than a hundred experts from twenty countries in a summit in which companies such as RTVE, Hispasat, Cellnex, RTVA, Samsung, Avid, EVS and Grass Valley, among others, participated, along with large production companies from America and Europe.

At this event, an important technological milestone took place worldwide. The first international pilot broadcast of Ultra High Definition 4K in DVB-T2 with HDR, WCG and Dolby AC-4 carried out by Cellnex Telecom in collaboration with RTVE.

Attendees were not only able to attend the conferences and debates, but also witnessed demonstrations, live broadcasts, Ultra High Definition projections and workshops to see first-hand how to work with the best of 4K-UHD technology.
