Sapec puts its new HEVX Main422P and 10-bit UHD decoder to the test

At IBC it also exhibits its latest developments in UHD, 4K and HD, among which its range of Avantos encoders and decoders, its Sivac One modular encoder, its Gredos IRD coding solutions and its Altum II HDTV encoders stand out.

As the most important novelty this year in Amsterdam, you can see the first prototype of the UHD HEVC Main422P and 10-bit decoder in real time for 4K resolution. Belonging to the Avantos family, this equipment receives during the days of the fair a TS in real time that is decoded to be shown to all attendees at stand 1F27 on a large 60-inch screen.

Another novelty is the evolution of the Gredos family, designed for satellite links, which from October 2016 will be available with HEVC compression in both the encoder / modulator and the IRD. It is the best solution for satellite transmission with HEVC compression, ideal for example for satellite video contributions for DSNG applications.

The novelty is that the new Gredos HEVC incorporate in just 1RU the HEVC encoder that allows Main and Main422 profiles, and 10 bits and a DVB-S/S2/S2X modulator. The combination of these two technologies makes it possible to reduce the necessary bandwidth with the consequent cost savings in satellite links.

Sapec also shows the Altum-II range for ASI/IP contributions and distribution in H.264, as well as the Sivac One modular encoder, based on H.264/MPEG-2 cards.

Sapec's presence at IBC 2016 is complemented by the solutions from manufacturers that the company distributes in Spain such as APT, Nevion, Sencore and Videoclarity.
