NBC Universal launches Telemundo International Studios

Al frente de la nueva unidad de producción de uno de los principales broadcasters de habla hispana en América estará Marcos Santana.

Coincidiendo con la celebración en Cannes de MIPCOM, directivos de NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, filial de Comcast, han adelantado el nacimiento de Telemundo International Studios.

Al frente de la nueva unidad de producción de uno de los principales broadcasters de habla hispana en América estará Marcos Santana.

In line with the activity of Telemundo Studios, the new Telemundo International Studios will be based in Miami and will focus on the production of formats aimed at the international market and new platforms. The new initiative will also attempt to capitalize on Telemundo's extensive experience with the production of short-form content in Spanish.

César Conde, president of NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, has assured that the new studios will be "a great opportunity for growth, in an unbeatable context for Telemundo, a network that is achieving unprecedented ratings and establishing itself as the number one Hispanic network in prime time in the US. With this new production unit, we will continue to innovate and increase the level of content production in Spanish both in the US and internationally."

For his part, Marcos Santana highlights that "the birth of Telemundo International Studios represents the great growth of our unit, increasing the expansion of our offer and our distribution catalog, generating new opportunities for markets and platforms."
