The fair in its 21st edition welcomes more than 800 exhibitors from 35 countries.

The Hong Kong International Film and TV Market (Filmart) is held from March 13 to 16 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center with the participation of more than 800 exhibitors from more than 30 countries.

The market, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), not only features major Hong Kong film companies, but also countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Korea, Japan, European Union, Singapore, Philippines, India and Vietnam, which have established their own pavilions. Likewise, the participation of 330 exhibitors from the 15 countries through which the new Silk Road passes, among them Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Poland, Indonesia, Cambodia, Turkey and Mongolia, stands out.

This year, Filmart will once again have a Spanish presence: Filmax International and Film Factory Entertainment. In addition, on March 16 the Spanish film will be screened Uncertain Glory by Agustí Villaronga.

Documentaries

This year's Filmart has set its sights on documentaries. Visitors can find the works of around 100 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions and participate in the “Opportunity for Documentaries in Asia” seminar that will take place on the third day.

In addition, Filmart will feature renowned speakers from the film industry, digital entertainment, post-production, animation and other sectors who will share their points of view and knowledge. Among the guest speakers we find great personalities from the industry, such as Andrew Hevia, co-producer of Moonlight, winner of the Oscar for Best Picture; Genki Kawamura, producer of Your Name, Confessions y If Cats Disappeared from the World; and a representative of Digitalidea, the post-production company for great hits like Train To Busan y Guardian: The Lonely and Great God.

During the event, multiple networking events, thematic seminars, press conferences and screenings will be organized, including 40 world and international premieres, so that industry professionals can catch the vision of other markets.
They will also highlight screenings of documentaries such as My Voice, de Rugby Yang, My Life y In Search of Perfect Consonance, y The Chinese Mayor, by director Zhou Hao, winner of Best Documentary at the 52nd Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival.

Filmart is part of the Entertainment Expo, the largest gathering of the entertainment sector that encompasses ten different events, including Filmart as well as the Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF), the Hong Kong Film Awards (HKFA), the Hong Kong – Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF) and the Hong Kong-Asian Pop Music Festival (HKAMF), among others.
