The general director of the Radio Television Corporation of Galicia (CRTVG), Alfonso Sánchez Izquierdo, describes the budgets for 2017 as “the most technological.”

During the presentation in the third commission of the Parliament of Galicia of the budget of the Radio Television Corporation of Galicia for 2017, the general director of CRTVG, Alfonso Sánchez Izquierdo, announced that the Galician public radio and television station will have a budget of 104.7 million euros, which will represent an increase of 2.5 million compared to 2016. Of that amount, the Xunta will contribute 94 million, a 90% of the corporation's total resources. Advertising revenue will contribute 8.1%.

CRTVG plans to directly hire the audiovisual sector for an amount of 31.9 million euros in 2017. Izquierdo has stressed that the budgets reflect the high impact on the indigenous productive fabric since more than 90% of the corporation's accounts revert directly to the employees and the Galician audiovisual industry.

The general director of the Galician public media said that the Corporation's budgets for 2017 are the “most technological.” He indicated that the CRTVG is facing a moment of review of its business model, in which the implementation of a comprehensive digital production system becomes "a determining project to move towards the dissemination of multiplatform, multimedia and multichannel content."
