WebDoc, the interactive documentary as a business line

La Fundación Audiovisual de Andalucía organiza los días 8 y 9 de marzo de 2017 en la Escuela Pública de Formación Cultural de Andalucía en el Estadio olímpico de Sevilla el curso WebDoc, the interactive documentary as a business line, que impartirá el cineasta malagueño Manuel Jiménez Núñez, realizador de Las SinSombrero.

During the workshop, which will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., students will be able to discover the existence of a new line of business in the audiovisual field: the webdoc or interactive documentary, independent or linked to a transmedia project, and the importance of the inclusion of new communication technologies in the fields of audiovisual production, as well as its use as a means of financing projects with or without linked television.

Professionally linked to the world of international television since 2000, Manuel Jiménez Núñez is a writer, producer and director of the transmedia project Las SinSombrero, the most important of this type co-produced by RTVE.

The work includes a documentary for television, an interactive documentary (Webdoc), social media campaign, wikiproject, educational project with the Ministry of Education, book and e-book edited by Espasa, episode in the series The Ministry of Time, exhibition, parliamentary proposal, projections throughout the country, renaming of streets in Gijón or Madrid,…

With this experience, the director has demonstrated how new communication technologies can be successfully linked to the production of television projects. It is the first RTVE documentary that manages to be Trending Topic on the day of its broadcast on 2 and repeat on the day of its episode broadcast on The Ministry of Time.

In addition to The Hatless, Manuel Jiménez has directed almost a dozen documentary projects with which he has toured the most important festivals in the world, from Saint Petersburg to Toronto, and has represented Spain in China and Portugal.

He is currently in the editing phase of the documentary. Outside conversations, for which it has the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Junta de Andalucía; and in the filming phase of the documentary The Hatless 2, again with RTVE.
