NewTek: end-to-end IP workflow from acquisition to distribution

The new TriCaster TC1 all-in-one production system, the first native NDI PTZ camera, and an interface that through browser navigation allows you to control a good number of functions of the TriCaster TC1 and IP Series systems, the manufacturer's main bets at this fair.

After its presentation in Las Vegas, NewTek It exhibits its new 4K IP end-to-end production system for the first time at IBC. TriCaster TC1 has raised great expectations at this show as it allows mixing, streaming and recording video in 4K UHD without compromising the frame rate or the number of available inputs.

One of its great advantages is that it does not need additional units since it is enough to add the files with the two built-in video servers for automatic and on-demand playback. Includes auto-advance playlists, accurate instant replay, live-edited highlight videos, and more. With responsive playback controls, presets, real-time editing tools, selectable transitions and playlist effects, you have everything you need to make magic with your stored media.

The new TriCaster TC1 is a true all-in-one. With 36 source channels and 16 external inputs, you can easily create engaging content using any combination of supported video sources, such as 3G-SDI, HD-SDI and PTZ cameras, mobile devices, Skype TX video calls, computers, gaming systems, streaming media, video files, graphics, images, animations and more.

Additionally, the new solution offers direct integration with Skype TX software. Skype TX, the studio-grade version of the popular app, enhances real-time interaction with high-quality video and balanced audio, delivering production-ready conversations, interviews, reports and more, regardless of the device the conversation partner owns.

TriCaster TC1 allows you to carry out live streaming to the new social platforms you want. Includes easy-to-use presets for Facebook Live, Microsoft Azure, Periscope, Twitch, YouTube Live and many more platforms. With two streaming encoders included, you can easily produce platform-specific content and expand your sponsorship and revenue opportunities.

On the audio side, it includes a software-based audio mixer with support for analog, digital and network audio, professional DSP, sound attenuator control, VU meters, talkback and 4x4x4 channel routing to four audio mix outputs.

Its comprehensive macro automation system allows you to record, store, edit and automate custom settings and scripts. You can even run macros manually from any combination of supported control interfaces or configure TriCaster TC1 to perform actions automatically.

With three customizable multi-screens, configurable windows and different workspace layouts, trustworthy monitors for the operator, visual indicators, scopes... the operator can personalize his TriCaster TC1 to create a custom multi-screen.

Finally, thanks to the native integration with NDI, NewTek's innovative Network Device Interface technology, TriCaster TC1 is associated with the most prolific IP-based workflow in the industry without the need for prior installation and connecting seamlessly with compatible products from hundreds of manufacturers and developers.

First native NDI PTZ camera

NewTek has presented its first native NDI PTZ camera at IBC. This IP video camera streams Full 3G 1080p60 video directly to NDI-compatible solutions over a standard network. The new NewTek NDI camera connects to the network and offers ultra-clear video and audio, as well as counting, PTZ control and power on a single Ethernet cable.

It has also launched Connect Spark, a portable device designed to deliver SDI or HDMI video to a computer and/or an IP network, wirelessly. This solution is actually an IP video converter, with built-in NDI functionality allowing the units to deliver video as an IP source to any standard network over WiFi or standard Ethernet cable.

At IBC, NewTek has also unveiled LivePanel, an interface for any device (tablet, laptop...) that allows you to control a good number of functions of the TriCaster TC1 and IP Series systems through browser navigation.

Finally, note the presence at IBC of NVG1, a joint solution from NewTek and Vizrt that allows the reproduction of 3D graphics in real time from anywhere on the network. A powerful 1RU turnkey video system, it combines NewTek software video technology with Vizrt's Viz Trio character generator and Viz Engine compositing software to deliver the highest quality CG and motion graphics to any production.
