The transmedia series 'If it were you' surprises at MIPCOM

The Wit consultancy includes the series, produced by RTVE and Atomis Media, as one of the most notable projects in Cannes, calling it an “unprecedented interactive project.”

The transmedia and interactive series If it were you, produced by RTVE in collaboration with Atomis Media, it has established itself as a success with audiences and critics. The consultant The Wit has included the series as one of the most outstanding projects of the season presented at the MIPCOM in Cannes, the prestigious international market for audiovisual formats. “An unprecedented interactive project,” he said of the youth series.

But the good reception of the Playz series, RTVE's digital content platform that will be officially presented on the 30th, is being reflected above all in its good audience data. With two chapters to go and the final TV movie that will be assembled from the content of the eight recorded chapters, the series directed by Joaquín Llamas and starring María Pedraza and Óscar Casas has totaled one and a half million views of the complete chapters.

All videos related to the series have accumulated more than 2 million views on all platforms (RTVE.es, YouTube and Facebook), which means that, since September 11, the day of its launch, the series is positioned as the fifth most viewed program on RTVE.es in volume of reproductions, more than 687,000 unique visitors have visited content from the series on RTVE.es.

The transmedia universe of the series, which includes live broadcasts from the Facebook account, voting on Facebook and Instagram and videos of the characters on different social networks, has also gathered tens of thousands of followers.
