AEQ Netbox 4MH or how to transport microphones and headphones with a single IP cable
AEQ develops this solution thinking about the need that many technical spaces have to have high-quality microphone inputs and headphone outputs anywhere where it is possible to carry a simple Ethernet cable.
AEQ has developed the new Netbox 4MH interface thinking about the need that many technical spaces have to have high-quality microphone inputs and headphone outputs anywhere where it is possible to carry a simple Ethernet cable, for example, radio booths, television studios, stages, reporting booths, or multimedia installations, through an IP network over the Dante protocol.
It also has the ability to have the same audio inputs and outputs in balanced analog line format.
Netbox 4MH incorporates 4 general purpose inputs and outputs (GPIO) as signaling interfaces for transport between the different devices on the IP network. Furthermore, for use in salons, it has additional GPIOs as an interface for signaling terminals, such as the Studiobox, providing the following services: remote cue, cough cut-off, 5 user keys, red ON AIR light and green Ready light.
The equipment is very convenient to configure, install and use since if you do not have access to an electrical outlet where you want to place it, it supports power: PoE+ in parallel with connector for external power supply. In addition, it can be installed very flexibly since it has a width of half a rack unit and comes equipped with two front fixing angles to the rack, two side plates that can be fixed to the base or lid of the equipment and 4 desktop feet.
On the other hand, it is possible to control one or more devices from an application with the following functions: configuration of the sources of the device's headphone outputs; phase configuration and stereo pairing of the equipment's inputs and outputs; bank of virtual faders to configure the gains of the equipment's inputs and outputs; and configuration of the GPIOs and selection of network equipment that receives their GPIs.
