Spain Film Commission pone en marcha la plataforma ‘Shooting in Spain’
This new tool aims to continue positioning Spain as an international destination for audiovisual filming, offering practical aspects of the industry to international and national producers.
Spain Film Commission has launched its renewed content platform, www.shootinginspain.info, with more features and information. The new website aims to answer the most frequently asked questions that international and national producers ask the Spain Film Commission, as well as show their activity in this new stage of expansion of the entity that has 16 years of activity and a network of 30 associates throughout the country.
The platform focuses its attention on practical aspects such as tax incentives for filming in Spain, a location search tool, a section that includes the particularities of filming in Spain, the contacts of all the associated Film Commissions and Film Offices, as well as a section dedicated to Cinema and Tourism, a history of filming in our country and a news section.
The system of tax incentives and production support has been clearly developed once its use has been consolidated since its implementation promoted by the Spain Film Commission.
The various locations available for audiovisual filming have a leading role in the new website, to which a powerful search engine, useful information for the producer, excellent quality images and a more precise geolocation have been added.
In the section of Filming in Spain The most powerful reasons to come to film in Spain are shown and a new space that collects specific information about various technical, legal and logistical aspects to take into account when planning a filming in the country.
The section Cinema and Tourism has a space within the website, with the aim of promoting and communicating initiatives related to Film Tourism, and the synergies that exist between the two industries.
The new platform will have a first stage of establishment and expansion of content before the official presentation that will take place within the framework of the European Film Market to be held next February 2018 during the Berlinale and on which the entity is already working.
The paper of the Spain Film Commission
Spain Film Commission and its network of offices work every day with national audiovisual professionals and companies on their productions and collaborate closely with international producers who want to film in our country. Three new partners have recently joined, covering the entire national territory.
In addition, it collaborates with entities such as the ICAA, ICEX or TurEspaña to develop a country strategy that positions Spain as a destination for international filming and can be a motivational factor in attracting tourism and enhancing the brand image of certain tourist destinations.
With the promotion of this institutional project, the entity continues on the path of strengthening the country's audiovisual industry by providing it with competitiveness and global visibility.
This new content platform has been financed by the Ministry of Culture, Education and Sports through the 2017 Cultural Action and Promotion Grants and with the entity's own resources. Aldor Internet has carried out the technological development and PowerHouse Hub has generated the content with the close collaboration of the technical office and the partners of the Spain Film Commission.
