'Summer 1993', by Carla Simón, wins the Gaudí Award for Best Film, Director, Editing and Screenplay

The award for best special effects went to Manuel López Egea and Bernat Aragonés for 'Incerta glòria', a film that has also earned Josep M. Civit the Gaudí Award for best photography.

The Acadèmia del Cinema Català delivered last night in Barcelona the tenth Gaudí Awards in an edition with a marked political and vindictive aspect that marked a good part of the ceremony.

Summer 1993 (Summer 1993), Carla Simón's first film, convinced by winning four awards. In addition to the award for best film, Carla Simón won the best direction and screenplay, while Ana Pfaff won the editing award and Bruna Cusí, best supporting actress.

The Gaudí Awards have also awarded Incerta glòria with eight of the sixteen awards for which it was nominated: female protagonist (Núria Prims) supporting actor (Oriol Pla), production management (Aleix Castellón), costumes (Mercè Paloma), make-up and hairdressing (Alma Casal), visual effects (Manuel López Egea and Bernat Aragonés), editing (Ana Pfaff and Dídac Palau) and photography (Josep M. Civit).

Mainland de Carlos Marques, ha conseguido el Gaudí a mejor film en lengua no catalana, dos años después de ganarlo 10.000 km. El actor David Verdaguer, presentador de la gala, ha recogido su segundo Gaudí a mejor protagonista masculino en Tierra firme. El musical La llamada se ha llevado el nuevo premio del público al mejor film.

Mercedes Sampietro, Premi Gaudí de Honor

La actriz Mercedes Sampietro (1947) ha sido galardonada con el Gaudí de Honor ‘Miquel Porter’, que rinde homenaje al historiador y crítico cinematográfico que dedicó la vida a la difusión de la historia de la cinematografía catalana y universal . Sampietro debutó en el cine con A un Dios desconocido, directed by Jaime Chávarri, and since then he has acted in more than forty-six films.
