'Handia', 'Verónica', 'The Bookstore', Verano 1993′ and 'The Author' will compete for the Goya for best film
'Handia', by Aitor Arregi and Jon Garaño, with 13 nominations, and 'The Bookstore', by Isabel Coixet, with twelve, are the favorites for the 32nd edition of the Goya Awards for Spanish cinema.
The actors Bárbara Lennie and David Verdaguer were in charge this morning of giving a reading at the Film Academy to the list of finalists for the 32nd edition of the Goya Awards. The academics have voted among 130 feature films in competition.

The four nominees for best actress are Penélope Cruz (Loving Pablo), Maribel Verdú (Abracadaba), Emily Mortimer (The bookstore) and Nathalie Poza (I don't know how to say goodbye). And the finalists for best actor Antonio De la Torre (Abracadabra), Javier Gutiérrez (The author), Javier Bardem (Loving Pablo) and Andrés Gertrúdix (to die).
De la Torre repeats nomination for best supporting actor for The author and his category rivals will be José Mota (Abracadabra), David Verdaguer (Summer 1993) and Bill Nighy (The bookstore). And, for best supporting actresses, the candidates are Adelfa Calvo (The author), Anna Castillo and Belén Cuesta (The call) and Lola Dueñas (I don't know how to say goodbye).
As best new actress, the finalists are Adriana Paz (The author), Bruna Cousí (Summer 1993), Itziar Castro (Skins) and Sandra Escacena (Veronica). In the breakthrough actor category, the finalists are Pol Monen (Amar), Eneko Sagardoy (big), Eloi Costa (Skins) and Santiago Alverú (Selfie).
