Pedro Olmedilla, founder of Alerce Producciones dies
He began professionally working in Producciones Benito Perojo, although he soon joined the Spanish Television staff, where he was appointed in 1966 Production Director.
Producer Pedro Olmedilla has died in Madrid. Olmedilla was born in Alicante and was a founding member of the Television Academy. He began professionally working in Producciones Benito Perojo, although he soon joined the Spanish Television staff, where he was appointed in 1966 Production Director, both in the program management and in the information services.
In 1989 he left his position in the public chain to begin his journey as an independent producer and create his own production company, Alerce Producciones, with which he carried out numerous programs for Canal Sur Televisión, Antena 3 TV, Spanish Television, Telemadrid and Channel 9.
Olmedilla participated in the production of, among others, the series Tenants Or Lord, Lord! In 2004 he received the talent award from the television academy.
