The Universities of Madrid, Malaga and Valencia that are developing 5G projects will present their advances in new generation network environments at the 5GForum, on April 25 and 26 in Malaga.

Las Spanish universities that they are developing projects on 5G will have the opportunity to make their proposals visible in the 5GForum, which will be held on April 25 and 26 at the Digital Content Center in Malaga.

During these two days, university researchers will share their advances with businessmen and managers of multinationals such as Samsung, Nokia, Cellnex, Hispasat, Axion, Telephony, Vodafone y Ericsson, who have already confirmed their participation in this multidisciplinary event organized by Medina Media and that has RTVE y Panorama Audiovisual as media partners.

Thus, the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) will present its project on “remote production and virtualization of live events with 5G networks”.

The presentation 4K y 5G It will be led by UPM professor José Manuel Menéndez and Adolfo Muñoz, from RTVE. The RTVE Chair of the UPM and the European 5G Media project are working along these lines, which opens a wide range of new opportunities in the field of professional production.

The Polytechnic University of Valenciaa (UPV) will be represented at the 5GForum by Narcís Cardona, director of the Institute of Telecommunications and Multimedia Applications of the UPV, who will present the 5G-Xcast project.

5G-Xcast is also about 5G broadcasting and the main use case is multimedia content broadcasting, but it also has applications for the Internet of Things (IoT), car-to-car communications and emergency communications.

The University of Malaga (ONE), as the host university of the 5GForum, will organize a “pitching” with the presentation of different projects by researchers selected by the vice-rector Raquel Barco, professor of the Department of Communications Engineering.
