Fujifilm and Musashi launch a new optical adapter for cameras with a full frame sensor
The new OptMag TL-OMFF expands the Super-35 image coverage of Fujinon Premier and Cabrio PL mount lenses by 1.7x for full frame camera sensors, while retaining excellent optical performance.
Fujifilm Corporation has worked closely with Musashi Optical System to produce the OptMag TL-OMFF, and optical adapter which allows the use of PL mount lenses Super-35 format image coverage on sensor cameras full frame without vignetting.
The Musashi-Opt design team has worked very closely with Fujinon optical engineers to ensure that the “Fujinon look” is not affected by the use of the adapter and that the same contrast, clarity and color reproduction are maintained. With a reputation for incredibly high performance, working with high-end fixed focal length lenses, even when the image is magnified by 1.7x, distortions and chromatic aberrations remain minimal, providing cinematographers with the quality they expect from Fujinon cinema magnification lenses in their full frame camera productions.
The TL-OMFF weighs just 350g and increases the overall length of the lens it attaches to by just 24.3mm. This is very important for cinematographers who have limited space, such as when shooting from cars, helicopters, or small locations.
The OptMag TL-OMFF will be available in Europe from the end of August 2018.
