StudioLAB: Disney and Cisco, united by innovation

Cisco will be a founding partner and partner of the StudioLAB technology lab, designed to create new multimedia entertainment experiences.

Culm has been selected by The Walt Disney Studios as a founding member and innovation partner of StudioLAB, Disney's new tech lab that will be located at The Walt Disney Studios Lot in Burbank, California.

The StudioLAB initiative focuses on the Use of state-of-the-art technologies to reimagine, design, and test the capabilities of Entertainment and production of the future.

StudioLAB will utilize Cisco's hardware, software, and services solutions, spanning networking, storage, orchestration, and collaboration. The first actions will focus on improving the remote collaboration experience for the studio's creatives and managers; provide more integrated and secure connectivity for film producers, the studio and third parties; and offer more efficient and secure ways to deliver data and production assets from the set to the cloud.

The Walt Disney Studios produces Disney feature films, including: Walt Disney Animation Studios; Pixar Animation Studios; Marvel Studios; and Lucasfilm. It also distributes music and productions to consumers through The Disney Music Group and Disney Theatrical Group.
