Telia buys the Swedish group Bonnier, owner of TV4, C More and the Finnish MTV
This is the second major media operation carried out by Telia in just a few days since on July 17 it acquired Get and TDC Norway.
The telecommunications operator Telia has acquired the Swedish group for 886.2 million euros Bonnie, owner of the channels TV4, C More and the Finnish MTV. In this way, Bonnier adds to its mobile and fixed network assets in Sweden and Finland one of the media conglomerates in the Nordic region.
This is the second major media transaction carried out by Telia in just a few days since on July 17 it acquired Get and TDC Norway for a combined enterprise value of 2.2 billion euros.
Following these acquisitions, Telia will now launch a business division in which it will reorganize all of its media assets and which will be chaired by Casten Almqvist, until now CEO of Bonnier Broadcasting, Casten Almqvist.
