The Observatory for News Innovation in the Digital Society, promoted by RTVE, UAB and CEU, will organize this event on November 21, which aims to serve as a platform to reflect on the latest trends in the field of television and new technologies.

He Observatory for News Innovation in the Digital Society (OI²) organizes the next November 21 the fourth edition of the OI² Conferences. Under the title of Artificial intelligence and journalism, the event will serve as a platform to reflect on the latest trends in the field of television and new technologies. The event will be held in the Sala Magna of the UAB Convalescent Home.

The IV OI² Conferences face the challenge of explaining the impact of artificial intelligence in the creation of journalistic content. The act, promoted by the RTVE and the Autonomous University of Barcelona within the framework of the recently renovated Chair RTVE-UAB, will feature the participation of professionals, academics and experts in the audiovisual sector and new technologies, who will explain how they apply artificial intelligence.

The program includes three discussion tables, two in the morning and one in the afternoon. The first of the debate panels: Challenges of artificial intelligence applied to journalism, will feature the participation of Caspar Llewellyn Smith, platform editor The Guardian. The second table will focus on Good practices for applying artificial intelligence in journalism and the third about New applications and perspectives.

Those in charge of welcoming these days will be the corporate general director of RTVE, Federico Montero, and the rector of the UAB, Margarita Arboix. Carles González, director of RTVE Catalunya, will close the days with the closing ceremony.
