AJA presents its new 8K solutions at Inter BEE 2018
AJA Video Systems is showcasing the next generation of 8K workflows in Tokyo with a range of flexible solutions available today.
In Inter BEE 2018, which is being held these days in Tokyo, AJA Video Systems is showcasing the next generation of 8K workflows with a range of flexible real-world solutions available today.
The first 8K workflow demo shows the AJA FS-HDR, a powerful one universal real-time converter and frame synchronizer designed to process high resolution content from high dynamic range (HDR) y wide color range (WCG). Using the free AJA FS-HDR Control Link software, four synchronized FS-HDRs are capable of executing 8K HDR conversions.
Real-time workflow includes 8K 60p HDR conversion and frame synchronization from 8K content provided by a player Keisoku Giken KRS-8K Plus, which houses four AJA Ki Pro Ultra Plus units. 8K HDR content is sent via 12G-SDI to AJA Mini-Converters which are converted to HDMI for connection to a Sharp 8K HDR monitor for show attendees to view.
A second demonstration of the 8K workflow uses the new AJA Kona 5, which is capable of capturing or outputting at 8K resolution via four 12G-SDI outputs at frame rates up to 60p. KONA 5 is shown running alongside the They transcode Colorfront, producing 8K content from an HP PC workstation via 12G-SDI to four AJA Mini-Converters driving a second Sharp 8K display. KONA 5's 8K capability is available to developer partners using the AJA SDK.
Nick Rashby, president of AJA Video System, highlighted that "AJA is at the forefront of pioneering powerful 8K HDR solutions to meet the growing broadcast demands for the highest quality of high-resolution content. Designed with a robust design, easy deployment and flexibility, our proven real-time solutions simplify the delivery of high-end 8K HDR content for broadcast workflows."
Soporte UltraHD a IPR-10G-HDMI v1.1
Coinciding with Inter BEE, AJA has presented the firmware v1.1 for your mini-convertidor IPR-10G-HDMI, which allows the SMPTE ST 2110 IP video/audio transmission to HDMI. Available as a free download, the update adds support for UltraHD up to 30p and integrates new improvements for discovery, registration and control.
The compact, fanless IPR-10G-HDMI mini-converter receives SMPTE ST 2110 over 10GigE connectivity and formats the data for output as video and audio on a full-size HDMI interface, with simultaneous analog audio output via an RCA interface.
The new version 1.1 firmware for the device includes support for 10-bit uncompressed UltraHD, 4:2:2 (3840 x 2160p 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30); discovery, registration and control; NMOS; and Ember Plus (Control only)
“We are delighted to offer IPR-10G-HDMI users new UltraHD support with firmware v1.1, as the update meets a critical need in the market, allowing professionals to output UltraHD signals over IP networks to the latest HDMI devices and displays,” said Nick Rashby.
