The Film Academy dedicates a cycle on film editing
The Film Academy Foundation brings this specialty to the public with a series of films and discussions with editors.
Editing is one of the most unknown areas of cinematographic art. In order to bring this fundamental process of audiovisual creation closer to the public, the Film Academy Foundation dedicates a series of films and talks with prominent editors.
Ride, dream, is the name of this cycle that, coordinated by veteran editor Iván Aledo and TAI professor and editor Mikel Iribarren, will consist of six sessions that will take place from January to June, a period in which “five works and a dream” will be exhibited. Thus, the program includes the monthly screening of a Spanish film, with the participation of guests who will explain aspects related to the editing of the films. Five screenings that will be completed with a special session “In memoriam”, in which José Salcedo, one of the most representative editors in our history, will be remembered.
A monster comes to see me, a film that will be followed by a discussion with Bernat Vilaplana and Jaume Martí, winners of a Goya Award for Best Editing for this successful production directed by J.A. Bayona, is the first screening of the cycle, next Wednesday, January 16, at 7:00 p.m.

Ride, dream will end in June with a tribute to José Salcedo, who will be remembered with the broadcast of The disenchantment and a meeting with its director, Jaime Chávarri.
