Its Orca, Lighthouse, Marina and Dolphin playout solutions will be the protagonists of Pebble Beach's presence in Las Vegas.

Pebble Beach Lighthouse UI

Pebble Beach Systems will present at NAB 2018 their latest solutions for playout, including: a demonstration of business continuity con Orca, the virtualized integrated channel solution for private or public cloud deployments; remote monitoring and management web based with Lighthouse; automation of playout multicanal scalable with Marina; y integrated channel playout con Dolphin, which supports 4K multichannel functionality and uncompressed 25GbE IP.

The solution of virtualized IP channel Pebble's Orca continues to be deployed by organizations seeking an integrated, all-IP channel system designed for seamless playout from the cloud. There are currently more than 100 Orca virtualized channels on air, many of which are complex multi-language broadcasts that require precise synchronization and complex audio playout rules.

The disaster recovery has been a catalyst for the increasing adoption of virtualized playout for many companies looking to “test the waters” by designing and testing a cloud and IP ecosystem. Pebble will introduce a complete Business Continuity system using Orca on the AWS cloud in full sync with the on-premises system, so that channel output and functionality remains the same even in a disaster scenario.

Remote monitoring and management

Whether for a primary, backup or disaster recovery system, the Lighthouse from Pebble allows monitoring and/or control from a single, secure and centralized web-based control panel. NAB Show attendees will be able to see clear and concise exception monitoring that lists errors to provide actionable information on each system, and low latency monitoring using NDIÒ technology which offers a reliable preview of each system in the Lighthouse user interface, without the delays that occur when dealing with compressed video.

Scalable multi-channel playout automation

Marina is Pebble's multi-channel playout automation system for systems broadcasting from one to hundreds of channels.

NAB Show attendees will discover how broadcasters can upgrade or migrate your legacy automation systems towards the powerful Marine automation platform in a controlled manner. Playout infrastructures can evolve from controlling legacy devices to incorporating new and evolving technologies, with minimal disruption to processes and staff.

Integrated channel playout

Dolphin is a device compact and accessible integrated channel, which operates under the control of Marine automation from Pebble Beach Systems. When equipped with the Matrox

Many companies planning to migrate to IP have purchased Dolphin servers with SDI hardware knowing that they will be able to easily install hardware with IP I/O, such as X.mio5, when the time is right for them. Dolphin goes beyond typical CiaB (Channel-in-a-box) capabilities, incorporating a series of software plug-ins that allow organizations to use their preferred solutions within the integrated channel environment. Plug-ins include graphics from Ross and Pixel Power, loudness from Telos Alliance, live EEG captions, and watermarks from Kantar and Nielsen.
