The National Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC) has opened a sanctioning file against Atresmedia for a possible violation of article 14.1 of the General Law of Audiovisual Communication (LGCA), which regulates the maximum broadcast time dedicated to advertising messages and telesales.

Specifically, article 14.1 of Law 7/2010, of March 31, General Audiovisual Communication, establishes the time limit for broadcasting advertising and telesales messages at 12 minutes per calendar hour ("For the calculation of these 12 minutes, only all advertising messages and telesales will be taken into account, excluding sponsorship and placement.
