Atresmedia and Diagonal TV begin filming the series 'El knot'

'The knot', directed by Jordi Frades, is the Spanish adaptation of the successful Argentine series 'Amar siempre de amar', premiered on the Telefe channel in 2017 with a spectacular screen share of 37.5%.

The knot, the new series of Atresmedia Television for prime time Antenna 3, has just started filming with the help of Diagonal Tv. It is a thriller that tells the story of two couples who, victims of fate, cross paths to live a forbidden love.

Natalia Verbeke, Cristina Plazas, Miquel Fernández and Oriol Tarrasón lead the exceptional cast of this series which also includes: Luisa Gavasa, Enrique Villén, Armando del Río, Silvia Maya, Pep Antón Muñoz, Eva Rufo, Berta Galo, Astrid Janer, Marcos Ruíz, Rafa Ortiz, Javier Morgade, Mariona Tena, Rafa Sandoval or Ángel Ruiz, among others.

The episodes of the new Antena 3 series will have a duration of 50 minutes, as occurs in all the new productions of the Series Atresmedia label. Filming will take place in different locations in the Community of Madrid.

With this series, Atresmedia once again collaborates with Diagonal TV, repeating a successful relationship that has materialized in series such as Slaughterhouse, The Cathedral of the Sea, Without Identity o Love is forever.

Sonia Martínez, Jaume Banacolocha and Montse García are the executive producers of The knot. Jordi Frades, attached to executive production, will be the main director of the series, and will be accompanied by SAlvador García and Kiko Ruiz Claverol.

Nuria Bueno He leads the script team made up of José Ángel Lavilla, Nicolás Romero and Nacho Pérez de la Paz. Teo Delgado and Óscar Montesinos They will be in charge of photography direction and, for their part, Marcelo Pacheco will be the art director. Pepe Reyes He is responsible for Costumes and Juan Navazo, of Music.

Adaptation of Amar after Amar

The knot tells the story of two couples who, victims of fate, cross paths to live a forbidden love.

Daniel (Oriol Tarrasón) undergoes emergency surgery. He has suffered a car accident. He is still alive but in very bad condition. While waiting for news, his mother, Miriam (Luisa Gavasa), and Rebeca (Cristina Plazas), his wife, begin to make calls to relatives to communicate the situation. Among them, Sergio, husband of Cristina, her best friend.

Rebeca never imagined that after an emergency call she would discover that her husband Daniel had not only been left in a coma due to a traffic accident, but that an unknown woman was traveling with him, disappearing without a trace. What he couldn't expect is for this accident to affect both his life and those of Sergio and Cristina.

A story with a narrative told in two moments: A present in which the police investigation will reveal to the two couples the lies that have been woven around them; and a past where it will be known what sparked this love story.
