3D Wire 2019

The market 3D Wire will celebrate its 11th edition in Segovia between September 30 and October 6, with the professional part being on October 3, 4 and 5. This benchmark event for animation, video games and New Media has also presented what will be its poster this year, designed by the Valencian animation studio Silly Walks.

Along with the dates and image of this 2019, the organization remembers the registration period for short films, video clips, VR shorts and animated advertising pieces until next June 25. This call accepts works produced in any animation technique and that were made after January 1, 2018.

Registration can be completed through the Shortfilmdepot and Festhome platforms or with the form that appears on the website of 3D Wire Market.

The submitted works must have a maximum duration (including the introduction and credits) of 30 minutes for national, international and virtual reality short films, while the limit will be 10 minutes for video clips and advertising or promotional pieces.

The selected works will be part of the 3D Wire market's annual catalog of short films, a complete selection of more than 200 works of animation most recent with the contact information of each work to facilitate its distribution and sale. All these titles will be available to accredited professionals in the event's video library to be viewed, respecting and safeguarding copyright.

From among the short films selected for the Short Film Market catalogue, a selection will be made that will integrate 3D Wire Fest, the competitive part. This official section, divided into national and international, will be announced in the month of September and during the contest it will be evaluated both by a specialized jury and by the public who will present various awards.

3D Wire Fest is a qualifying festival for the European Animation Awards and therefore the winning European and Spanish short films will be automatically preselected and will be able to participate in this prestigious European award.

Cartel de Silly Walks

The poster for this edition is a creation of Silly Walks, a 2D animation and visual development studio based in Valencia. A powerful image in blue and pink tones that aims to convey the essence of the event as a meeting point for the industry and that makes use of the iconic cubes, the hallmark of the Castilian-Leonese event.

The studio has a solid track record that began in 2013. Producers of pieces for television, film, video games and advertising, Silly Walks has an outstanding international prestige as witnessed by clients such as Nickelodeon, 11 Bit Studios or Lorenzo Jovanotti; becoming nominated for the Quirino Awards for one of his most recent works: Lorenzo Live 2018 intro.
