Sony becomes a shareholder in Nevion

Both companies close a strategic agreement in the field of IP-based solutions for broadcasters and other industries.

Nevion has closed an agreement with Sony to establish a strategic partnership in the field of IP-based solutions for broadcasters and other industries. To strengthen this partnership, Sony will also become one of the main investors in Nevion by acquiring a minority stake in the company through a share purchase agreement.

In recent years, Nevion has become a reference in network solutions for media over IP for the transport, processing, monitoring and management in real time of video, audio and data signals used in production.

This partnership with Sony will enable customers to benefit from more advanced, fully integrated, standards-based media production solutions that combine exceptional media network technology with world-leading equipment such as cameras and switchers.

This alliance will make it easier for customers to transition to IP on-premise and remote production, as well as improving your ability to create content, for example through better resource sharing.
