Cinema and art go hand in hand at the Prado Museum

On the occasion of the celebration of its bicentennial, the Prado Museum, in collaboration with the Film Academy Foundation, has organized Cinema with art seen by its creators, a sample of eight Spanish films that show the diversity of treatments and themes of this 'art cinema'.
Aimed at offering a different perspective on how cinema has addressed the concrete reality of museums and art in general, this cycle seeks to capture the creation process, capture the very practice of artistic genius, with its successes and uncertainties, and show how art involves life.
Goya's ghosts, by Milos Forman –July 5–; Esquilache, by Josefina Molina –day 6-; Don Juan in hell, by Gonzalo Suárez -day 10-; and I give you my eyes, by Iciar Bollain –July 11–, are some of the selected titles that show how art, in its multiple facets, affects the action in some way and from different places.
