The death of Toni Feliu shocks the sector

With extensive experience and a brilliant professional history of thirty years in the electronic and broadcast industry, Feliu was, without a doubt, one of the most loved and respected faces in the audiovisual sector.

Toni Feliu, Senior Manager a Panasonic PSCEU, died this Thursday in Barcelona at the age of 53. His sudden loss has caused great commotion in the audiovisual sector.

With a long experience and brilliant professional history of thirty years in the electronic and broadcast industry, Feliu was, without a doubt, one of the most loved and respected faces both in the Japanese multinational and by television stations, production companies and operators throughout Spain.

A telecommunications engineer from La Salle BCN, electronics was always his vocation to which he combined an unmatched affability that opened all doors for him.

Feliu began his career at Eure (JVC-For-A) in 1989 as a pre-sales engineer, moving two years later to the sales department at Craftman.

In 2000 he joined what has been his home ever since, Panasonic Spain. First as a sales manager, he later held different positions of high responsibility in the audiovisual and broadcast divisions of the company.

Echaremos en falta su vitalidad, su optimismo, su amistad y su cariño. Hoy estamos tristes por su adiós, pero a buen seguro él querría que lo recordásemos con su permanente sonrisa y sus imprescindibles abrazos. Nos gustaría que lo recordáseis de igual modo, él que siempre ha sido un apasionado de este sector del broadcast”.

The funeral chapel will remain open this Monday, September 23, at the Sitges Mortuary (Barcelona). The funeral will take place on Tuesday at 10 in the morning in the Oratory of the funeral home itself, with the mortal remains later transferred to the Corberá de Llobregat cemetery.
