'Inés del alma mia' ends filming after four months in Spain, Peru and Chile

The series co-produced by RTVE, Boomerang TV and Chilevisión has a high-level technical team of different nationalities, headed by executive producer Jorge Redondo.

Last week the filming of the series ended in Chile Inés of my soul. After starting production in Spain last September, the team has filmed in Peru and the Andean country, where they have remained since last October.

In these four months, the ambitious co-production of RTVE, Boomerang TV y Chilevision ha recorrido escenarios naturales de Extremadura y Andalucía como Cáceres, Trujillo y La Calahorra (Granada), tras los cuales se rodó en extraordinarios enclaves peruanos como Ollantaytambo, Chinchero y Pisak, para finalizar en Chile sus grabaciones, que han pasado por los espectaculares y exóticos paisajes del desierto de Atacama, Araucania, Valdivia y Santiago de Chile, donde se ha construido una ciudadela de más de 5.000 m² en la laguna Carén, para representar el origen de esta ciudad.

Jorge Redondo, executive producer of the series, highlights that "the balance is very positive, since we have been able to tell the story of Inés Suárez and Pedro de Valdivia in the same places they passed through. It has been four months in which we have traveled more than 20,000 km between the three countries. It has been a very complex production in which we have had to face climatic adversities such as wind and sand storms in the Atacama Desert or intense rains in Valdivia. Furthermore, as our filming in Chile coincides with the social upheaval that the country is going through, we have had to adapt the work plans to the established measures, after declaring the emergency situation and curfews for 15 days.”

La serie cuenta con un reparto de excepción encabezado por Elena Rivera (Cuéntame cómo pasó, La verdad), Eduardo Noriega (Abre los ojos, La sonata del silencio) y Benjamín Vicuña (Sitiados, La memoria del agua, Vis a vis). Carlos Bardem, Francesc Orella, Enrique Arce, Daniela Ramírez, Antonia Giesen, Federico Aguado, Carlos Serrano, Ismael Martínez, Juan Fernández, Mauricio Paniagua, Andrea Trepat , Nicolás Zárate, Patricia Cuyul, Rafael de la Guerrera, Elvis Fuentes, Francisco Ossa, Gastón Salgado y Pedro Fontaine completan el reparto.

Prestigioso equipo técnico

“La ficción, por la que han pasado más de 2.500 figurantes, ha contado con un equipo multicultural de alto nivel, of more than 350 people of different nationalities, made up of Spaniards, Peruvians, Argentines and Chileans. We have managed to overcome all the unforeseen events and unify the same audiovisual language, to be able to turn Isabel Allende's novel into an image," says Jorge Redondo, head of the project.

The script has been written by Paco Mateo, winner of the SGAE Julio Alejandro Award. And the direction is by the award-winning director Alejandro Bazzano (The paper house, alleged guilty) and the famous Chilean director Nicolas Acuña (Besieged, Berko, the art of silence).

At the head of the Art direction is Koldo Valles (The time between seams, Víctor Ros) together with Bernadita Baeza, the photography direction is carried out by Felipe Alba (Presumed guilty, Cain's father) and the costume design is the work of costume designer Loles Galeán (Palm trees in the snow, The invisible guardian).
