Mome updates RTVE's Americas headend with Albalá modules

The header includes a true 1+1 redundancy proof of any failure of a single element and that will process the television and radio signals that are disseminated by satellite for America.

Mome (Monitoring and measures) has been awarded the acquisition and implementation of Video and audio encoders for television and radio programs and the maintenance of the set for the Header for America of Radio Televisión Española.

In this project, Mome has made the design of its header following the technical specifications of RTVE including a real redundancy 1+1 proof of any failure of a single element and that will process television and radio signals that are disseminated by satellite for America.

In the design of the redundancy of this head, Mome has chosen teams of Albalá to be incorporated into this project for their reliability and the possibilities of telecontrol and telesupervisión that are necessary in a system like this of high reliability and with redundancy 1+1.

The teams that Albalá have supplied belong to the line Tl3000 of Modular infrastructure of communications. On the one hand, the audio modifier in 3G/HD/SD-SDI video (HAM3000C01). It is important to highlight among its functionalities that, in addition to the functions of the entramador, immenter and sampling frequency converter, the HAM3000C01 allows to reallocate the audio channels of the input signal to any of the channels of the exit video signal and adjust the gain that is applied independently. Likewise, it is possible to apply a delay of up to 10 seconds to each of the audio channels.

On the other, a double 3G/HD/SD-SDI signal distributor of 1 input to 6 outputs, an output protected by bypass relay and frontal optical inputs and outputs with optional SFP modules, model HVD3001C02. This model provides an improvement if it is about transmitting 3g/hd/SD-SDI on long distances and is the possibility of entering and/or going out by fiber optic.

In addition, the installation has a double AES/EBU digital distributor of 1 loop in 6 outputs (DAD3002C02).

In this way, RTVE will send from Spain a plot of five channels: two in SD (International TVE and 24h) and three in HD (HD International TVE, HD Star and Clan HD).
