Mome updates RTVE's header for America with modules from Albalá

The headend includes true 1+1 redundancy that is proof of any single element failure and will process the television and radio signals broadcast by satellite to America.

Boy (Monitoring and Measurements) has been awarded the acquisition and start-up of video and audio encoders for television and radio programs and the maintenance of the set for the header for America of Spanish Radio Television.

In this project, Mome has designed its header following RTVE's technical specifications, including a true 1+1 redundancy proof of any failure of a single element and that will process the television and radio signals that are broadcast by satellite to America.

In designing the redundancy of this headend, Mome has chosen Albalah to be incorporated into this project due to their reliability and the remote control and remote supervision possibilities that are necessary in a system like this with high reliability and 1+1 redundancy.

Albalá header on RTVEThe equipment supplied by Albalá belongs to the line TL3000 of modular infrastructure of communications. On the one hand, the 3G/HD/SD-SDI video framed audio modifier (HAM3000C01). It is important to highlight among its functionalities that, in addition to the framer, deframer and sample rate converter functions, the HAM3000C01 allows you to reassign the audio channels of the input signal to any of the channels of the output video signal and adjust the gain applied to them independently. Likewise, it is possible to apply a delay of up to 10 seconds to each of the audio channels.

On the other hand, a double 3G/HD/SD-SDI signal distributor with 1 input to 6 outputs, one output protected by bypass relay and front optical inputs and outputs with optional SFP modules, model HVD3001C02. This model provides an improvement when it comes to transmitting 3G/HD/SD-SDI over long distances and is the possibility of entering and/or leaving via fiber optics.

In addition, the installation has a double AES/EBU digital audio distributor with 1 loop input to 6 outputs (DAD3002C02).

In this way, RTVE will send from Spain a frame of five channels: two in SD (TVE Internacional and 24h) and three in HD (TVE Internacional HD, Star HD and Clan HD).
