Portocabo shoots his first feature film, 'Cuñados', in Ourense
Dirigida por Toño López con Jaime Pérez al frente de la dirección de fotografía, ‘Cuñados’ es una comedia costumbrista y familiar participada por RTVE y rodada en gallego.
La provincia de Ourense está siendo el escenario del rodaje de brothers-in-law, una comedia costumbrista y familiar participada por RTVE y rodada en gallego, que girará alrededor de las peripecias criminales de tres cuñados unidos por el azar y embarcados en un plan disparatado.
Starring three great Galician comic actors, Xosé A. Touriñán, Miguel de Lira and Fede Pérez, the cast is completed by María Vázquez, Iolanda Muíños and Eva Fernández.
The film, which will have its theatrical release in 2021, will mark the jump to the feature film by Toño López. In his own words, “it is a comedy of almost criminals, happy, agitated and vital for all audiences that bases its humor on making light of human miseries with a touch of tenderness and compassion.”
brothers-in-law, which is part of the group of films selected in the second RTVE film evaluation table for this year, is the production company's first feature film Portocabo. Cuenta con la subvención de la Axencia Galega das Industrias Culturais (Agadic), la participación de la TVG y la colaboración de la Diputación de Ourense..
La película se rodará íntegramente en Ourense y en diversos lugares de la provincia. Al ser una película muy conectada al espacio en el que sucede, el equipo encontró en este territorio de contrastes las localizaciones ideales para el proyecto. En él conviven lo rural y lo urbano, lo moderno y lo tradicional y también está dotado de una gran vida social y cultural.
