RTVE awards the Content Management Project in Cloud to VSN

This pilot initiative is intended for the study of the news generation process with tools in Cloud in the territorial centers of Castilla La Mancha, Valencian Community and Extremadura.

VSNExplorer MAM of VSN It has once again been the system chosen for the project of Innovation hub of RTVE, a pilot initiative for the study of the process of News generation with tools in Cloud in the territorial centers of Castilla La Mancha, Community Valencian and Extremadura.

This pioneer program consists, in essence, in the collection of content through the latest digital devices (light and mobile cameras) permanently connected. These collection flows generate in Cloud, of course, large amounts of footage, and that is where Vsnexplorer Mam enters the scene, for Manage the average generated and explore the possibilities that these digital flows offer, such as metadata extraction or automatic subtitling.

The Media VSNexplorer asset management system has satisfactorily fulfilled all the requirements requested by RTVE, among which were, for example, the Reception of files through PC or FTP, the storage, management and distribution of them in the cloud, access via web to the system, the configuration of different user profiles that could work simultaneously and collaboratively and the sending of content to news production systems or as direct publication in social networks.

Artificial intelligence

It is also highlighted the most interesting functionalities for the project that you can enjoy the public corporation thanks to the components of Artificial Intelligence incorporated in VSNexplorer, which will allow system users to access audio services such as Text voice transcription (Speech-to-Text), as well as the recognition of entities and their classification and the TIME CODE GENERATION (Timestamps). As for the metadata derived from the video, the AI engine will also allow the recognition and extraction of information from people, places, description of images and the optical recognition of characters.

Additionally, the VSNEXPLORER web editor, Wedit, also enables RTVE functionalities, such as the Edition of the average by cut or voice-over. From the technical point of view, Radio Televisión Spanish will have more user licenses and storage of the required one, in addition to the training of its operators and the 24 × 7 VSN support service.
