The Mediapro Studio and BlackBox join forces to produce the ’58 Seconds’ series
This medical drama focuses on the work of doctors and medical volunteers on special international missions.
The Mediapro Studio and the British producer BlackBox Multimedia have announced an agreement for the production of the series 58 Seconds, a medical drama, inspired by the work of doctors and health volunteers on international missions.
This original series created by screenwriters Jeremy Brock, nominated for an Oscar for The last king of Scotland, y Paul Unwin, winner of the BAFTA Award for the series Breathless, both also responsible for Casualty, one of the longest-running medical dramas on television, as well as its spin-off, the series Holby City.
58 Seconds will revolve around a group of humanitarian workers willing to risk their lives to provide their services in some of the most dangerous places in the world: doctors, health workers, administrative workers, caregivers, etc., who voluntarily accept the challenge of leaving everything to help deal with wars, natural disasters, political conflicts and all types of disasters. Thousands of kilometers from their homes, the protagonists will have to deal with unimaginable challenges, which they will face with courage, determination and also with humor. Throughout the series, the doctors and their teams will establish very strong relationships with each other that will help them grow as professionals and as people.
In 58 Seconds The action will not take place in a hospital, but in different places and dangerous situations, which will put the characters on the brink of extreme tension. To build the plots, the creators rely on real-life stories of these authentic superheroes of our time, whose challenges will captivate and inspire viewers of all ages and backgrounds.
