Laura Fernandez Espeso, corporate director and TV director of The Mediapro Studio, comments that The head "It is the fruit of many months of work to face a moment in which the demand for content is enormous. Having talent of the caliber of Jorge Dorado and Àlex and David Pastor, who have worked on the project since its inception, along with a large international cast and prominent partners such as Hulu Japan and HBO Asia gives an idea of the magnitude of the project. It is a privilege for The Mediapro Studio to bring this magnificent series to the audiovisual market."

The dark and long Antarctic months, the cold, the wind and the vast expanses of ice along with the feeling of loneliness and claustrophobia are the distinctive elements of this fiction, made up of six 50-minute episodes.

The plot of The head, with dialogues in English and Danish, is located at the Polaris VI international station in Antarctica. A small group of scientists from several countries will be in charge of keeping the base operational during the long polar night. “After a two and a half year process, at The Mediapro Studio we are proud to bring a unique story to the screen,” explains Ran Tellem. “The head It is a series that deals with good and evil. It begins when a group of people find themselves completely disconnected from the world, in the freezing darkness of the South Pole winter. For the unknown killer in their midst, this is the perfect scenario. For everyone else, knowing right from wrong could be the thing that saves their lives.”

"In The Head I have been able to contribute something to the development, which is quite unusual," explains director Jorge Dorado, "because normally we directors join in at a much later stage. And that is very interesting, because then you can make the story a little your own." The director also highlights the work of The Mediapro Studio: “At the moment, no one is doing projects of this size and with this international ambition in Spain.”

Àlex and David Pastor, who have worked on the scripts for THhe head with Isaac Sastre, define the production as “a claustrophobic thriller with a central mystery.” “The series plays in two stages because it is about discovering who the murderer is, why he did it and what lies beyond the apparent crimes,” they comment.
