EVS' Cerebrum and Neuron media infrastructure solutions are at the core of the new control room for delivering UHD-4K, HDR and native IP workflows.

Mediahub Australia

The Australian audiovisual services company MediaHub Australia has selected medium-sized infrastructure solutions EVS as the cornerstone of his nuevo master control room (MCR) which will be operational before the end of March.

Following an extensive RFP process over the past year, the current SDI-based environment at the Ingleburn facility will make way for a IP platform SMPTE 2022-6/7 and 2110 based on control and supervision solution Cerebrum and the advanced IP stream processing platform Neuron, both from EVS.

MediaHub Australia is thus emerging as one of the most recent clients of EVS after the acquisition of Axon, confirming the strategic importance of the agreement that was signed in May 2020.

The arquitectura basada en Ethernet Neuron supports several advanced video processing capabilities, such as frame synchronization, up/down conversion, color correction, HDR conversion, audio embedding and de-embedding, and sound mixing. This ensures that any equipment located within the MediaHub Australia MCR can easily bridge the gap between baseband SDI and any type of IP media stream and take advantage of the huge set of features available in an instant.

We are delighted to be a key part of its next phase of growth, together with our technology partner EVS."

Adrian Richmond, director of global sales for media infrastructure, concludes by stating that "this project has been a collaboration between a forward-thinking organization at MediaHub, the expertise of Magna Systems and the best of IP solutions here at EVS. We are delighted that our Neuron and Cerebrum solutions form the backbone of such an innovative media infrastructure that will help MediaHub continue to improve its offering in the future."
