Canon has incorporated Javier Tabernero as new CEO in Spain and Portugal. Its extensive technological and industrial experience will allow the company to boost its imaging technology services and solutions.

In his more than 28 years of professional career, Tabernero has achieved important successes at the head of international companies.

With this designation, Canon aims to strengthen its position in digital services and technologies in all its business areas: cameras, commercial printing, digital solutions, video image analytics, industrial products and professional printing.

Javier Tabernero is an Industrial Engineer from the Pontifical University of Comillas, and has a Master's Degree in Economics and Business Management from the University of Navarra (IESE). He has developed his professional career directing large projects in international companies that are leaders in their sectors, such as Prosegur; achieving positive financial results and leading strategic alliances.

He has extensive experience in strategic advice to companies such as Everis, CVC, IO Digital, Alto or Innovatech Advisors. In addition, he has been part of different administrative bodies of companies and organizations such as CoESS, ESTA or Aproser, as well as different chambers of commerce. Also noteworthy is the management of agreements with large Spanish and Portuguese multinationals such as Telefónica, Inditex, Iberdrola, Mercadona and Jerónimo Martins.

Tabernero has extensive knowledge in Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transformation and Data Systems, areas closely aligned with Canon's future strategy.
