TestTree (Enensys) products will help Evoca monitor pay TV services
Evokes You will benefit from StreamProbe and EdgeProbe solutions from TestTree (Enensys) to monitor your pay TV services.
StreamProbe, monitoring tool TestTree, will allow Evokes Control the quality of content received from content providers after encoding as well as after DASH packaging for ATSC 3.0 and broadband access. The solution will raise alarms for any quality of service (QoS) delivery errors as well as experience issues detected at the Evoca encoding platform or at the cloud, origin and CDN (Content Delivery Network) packaging level.
For its part, EdgeProbe, RF monitoring solution for ATSC 3.0, complements real-time monitoring by analyzing the STL distribution and OTA signals of ATSC 3.0 in the 2 low power stations that Evoca has in Boise, Idaho.
In this way, Evoca is able to ensure the quality of its service by detecting and anticipating potential problems, from contribution failures and coding errors to all the problems related to CDN and Open Internet networks: latency, synchronization and content availability.
ATSC 3.0 and OTT
Enensys' developments, which are part of a distributed hybrid architecture based on solutions in the data center, in the cloud and on premises, allow Evoca to simultaneously deliver content in ATSC 3.0 (OTA) and over broadband (OTT).
Todd Achilles, CEO of Evoca, praises the benefits of Enensys' developments: "Visibility into our video quality is critical to our business, which continually evolves in this highly competitive landscape. We made the strategic decision to select Enensys as a partner for some of our key operational needs because their solution matched our specific technical requirements. TestTree's StreamProbe is a reliable and versatile platform that helps ensure end-to-end video monitoring of our teleport."
For its part, Carmen Kerloc’h, Product Manager at TestTree, focuses his statements on the avant-garde value of the project: “We are delighted to work with Evoca and Hitachi Kokusai Electric Comark in this innovative project on ATSC 3.0 and cloud installation. Our complementary solution for Head-End and RF transmission allows us to meet Evoca's needs for 24/7 monitoring, whether in the cloud or in the Boise offices. This collaborative work allowed Evoca to resolve latency issues during network deployment and quickly showed interest in a monitoring system in Next Gen TV.”
