24i targets the Pay TV segment with the acquisition of Nordija
The Danish company Nordic, whose business focus is on providing Pay TV service to private companies, has been acquired by 24 i, specialized in video streaming end-to-end.
During its 20 years of experience, Nordic has worked for companies such as Telenor Sweden, TET (previously Lattelecom), Vodafone Iceland, T-Mobile Netherlands, Swisscom Broadcast, Waoo, Boingo Wireless, ZAP in sub-Saharan Africa or SET in the caribbean
Joachim Bergman, CEO of 24 i, has highlighted among the main virtues of Nordija its “solid customer base, the stability of its platform and the professionalism of the staff”. Likewise, he points out that his commitment to television as a service (TVaaS, for its representation in English) will allow them to continue advancing in the development of your business model.
Growing market
The CEO of Nordija, Thomas Christensen, has become the CTO y head of television platforms of 24 i. In his first statements as part of 24i he has positively valued the agreement: "Nordija was founded with the belief that great solutions emerge from great collaboration. We are very happy to begin our collaboration with the 24i team. Culturally, 24i and Nordija fit very well and by joining forces we will be able to accelerate the pace of development of our combined platform to meet the needs of increasingly demanding video consumers."
