Mediapro will serve VAR to Concacaf and the Gold Cup 2021

The group Mediapro It has been selected by the Confederation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean Football (Concacaf) as a supplier for the implementation of VAR technology (Video Assistant Referee) for its competitions.

The first game to have this technology was the one of the quarterfinals of the Champions League of Concacaf between Atlanta United FC and Philadelphia Union, held in the American city of Atlanta.

The VAR will be used in all quarterfinals, semifinals and finals along the Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League (SCCL). As for the team competitions, the VAR has been implemented in the Concacaf Nations League final, held in Denver, Colorado.

Currently, Mediapro prepares the implementation of the VAR in the Gold Cup 2021 that will be held in the United States in July and is classified as the most important national team competition in North America, Central America and the Caribbean.

Mediapro provides Var technology in numerous official competitions such as the leagues of Portugal, Greece, Mexico, Chile and Arab Emirates, and is responsible for the video -barge service of some of the most important continental competitions in the world both at the level of clubs and selections, such as the Copa Libertadores, the South American Cup, the Copa América or the Africa Cup.
