‘El olvido que seremos’ and ‘La llorona’ lead the nominations for the Platino Awards

Las actrices Belén Rueda, Paulina García y el director Manolo Caro han desvelado este lunes en Madrid las películas y series nominadas a la 8ª edición de los Platinum Ibero-American Cinema Awards.

Al acto que ha tenido lugar este lunes, 19 de julio, en el Palacio de Cibeles han acudido el recién nombrado ministro de Cultura y Deporte, Miguel Iceta y el Alcalde de Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, además de Enrique Cerezo, presidente de EGEDA y Rebeca Grynspan, secretaria general de la Secretaría General Iberoamericana.

La colombiana The oblivion that we will be, de Fernando Trueba, y la guatemalteca The crybaby, de Jayro Bustamante, aglutinan el mayor número de nominaciones con once cada una. Entre otros galardones, ambas producciones competirán por hacerse por el Platino a mejor película y mejor dirección. Optarán también al premio a mejor película la española The girls de Pilar Palomero y la mexicana Nuevo orden de Michel Franco.

En el apartado televisivo, la obra con más nominaciones es la serie española Patria, que atesora 5, a la que siguen la citada someone has to die, la colombiana The robbery of the century and the Spanish The Money Heist con 4 candidaturas.

Respecto a las candidaturas técnicas, El olvido que seremos, La llorona, Las niñas y la mexicana I'm not here anymore competirán por el reconocimiento a la Best Assembly Direction, mientras que al Premio Platino a la Best Cinematography optarán Akelarre, El olvido que seremos, La llorona y The girls. For its part, Akelarre, El olvido que seremos, La llorona y I'm not here anymore son las candidatas al galardón a la Best Sound Direction.

Las aspirantes al reconocimiento como Best Animated Film son The path de Xico de Eric Cabello, La gallina Turuleca de Eduardo Gondell y Víctor Monigote, O Pergaminho Vermelho de Nelson Botter Jr. y Un disfraz para Nicolás de Eduardo Rivero

La VIII Edición de los Premios Platino del Cine y el Audiovisual Iberoamericano, promovidos por EGEDA, tendrá lugar el próximo 3 de octubre en Madrid en IFEMA Palacio Municipal.
