The Spanish Axess Networks among the finalists for the Annual Awards of the World Teleport Association
The World Teleport Association (WTA) announces the finalists of its 2021 Teleport Excellence Awards that will be presented on September 8 during the Satellite conference in Washington DC.
As independent operator of the year, the Spanish figure Axess Networks, who will compete for the award with Vivacom (Bulgaria) and Telstra (Australia).
With headquarters in Barcelona and main office in Colombia, Axess Networks has three main teleports located in Germany, Mexico and Colombia and three alternatives in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Peru.
In the teleport technologies category, the finalists are Beam Budget from Integration, connectivity solutions Kymeta and the Genus modular RF distribution chassis from ETL Systems.
"The teleport sector continues to grow amid the enormous changes in the space and satellite industry. This year we have several new nominations for the awards. Each of them represents an advance in the overall contribution to the growth of the industry," he highlighted. Louis Zacharilla, WTA development director, who this year will host the awards ceremony for the 25th time.
The WTA selects its finalists from applications submitted to the association by members and non-members. The winners are selected by vote of WTA members.
In addition to honoring the winner of these two award categories, the WTA will present the Teleport Executive of the Year Award 2021 a Sean McDaniel, CEO of Atlas Space Operations. Attendees will include executives from the teleport, satellite and content delivery technology sectors, as well as previous award winners from around the world.
