Avid Media Composer Distributed Processing now part of Enterprise subscriptions
Media Composer's professional subscription model Avid includes the recently updated Distributed Processing feature.
Media Composer Distributed Processing allows you to turn any group of computers into a network-connected transcoding and processing farm. This way, editors can offload processor-intensive content creation workflow tasks to any available local computer, freeing up their editing workstations. This cool feature of Avid software is included with software subscriptions Media Composer Enterprise.
Distributed Processing It covers a significant number of functions such as transcoding, consolidation, rendering, mixing and export. The flexibility of the Avid system allows you to configure multiple complex jobs to run in the background at any time, even overnight. Likewise, the system comes accompanied by a panel de control web which allows users to track, modify, monitor, prioritize and filter jobs remotely.
Dave Colantuoni, vice president of product management at Avid, considers Media Composer Distributed Processing a key tool to “speed up workflows by reducing delays that occur when executing processor-intensive tasks, helping teams work smarter, not harder.”
