Atresplayer (Atresmedia) adopts Canonical's microservices architecture
Canonical Charmed Kubernetes has allowed Atresmedia update your streaming platform Atresplayer a an architecture based on microservices.
The new architecture of Atresplayer benefits from key concepts such as scalability and the automation capability by structuring around independent container-based services. This allows Atresmedia optimize several of its most frequent processes, “significant savings” and “put an end to its scalability problems.”
The head of Atresmedia's IT projects, Miguel Rodriguez, elaborates: "We are committed to providing customers with the best possible user experience. This means always looking for new ways to improve scalability, resilience, and time to market for new features. When we discovered that our application architecture was too rigid, we knew we had to do something."
Despite the strong presence of competitors from all over the world, Atresplayer currently has a total of 8.6 million registered. Among its catalog we find formats such as Bitter Land, Innocents, Love is forever, Paco's men, Poison o #Luimelia.
