The Canadian Valsoft acquires VSN to deepen the broadcast and media market
The Spanish company VSN has been acquired by the Canadian Valsoft, which enters with this movement in the broadcast and media vertical.
Based in Terrassa, Barcelona, VSN offers solutions for media management, production, planning, multi-platform content delivery and broadcasting and publishing through linear and non-linear channels. The acquisition of VSN places Aspire Software (a Valsoft operating group) in a new vertical and reinforces its presence in Spain.
The founder and CEO of VSN, Jordi Utiel, will remain with the company to ensure a “calm” transition. Likewise, the global management team will continue to lead the business and drive its products and the company into the future. Utiel describes this new stage with Valsoft as “a great opportunity for VSN.” “We are excited about the strategic projection that Valsoft will bring us, expanding and consolidating our international expansion and drawing a new horizon for VSN in the broadcast and media sector,” he underlines.
One of Valsoft's main pillars is to invest in consolidated entities and foster a business environment that allows an organization to grow as a leader in its respective industry. Valsoft is not a private equity or venture capital organization. Its objective is for organizations to grow sustainably, through long-term collaborations with local management.
Second Spanish company in Aspire
With this acquisition, VSN becomes the second company based in Spain to join the Aspire family, being the first Telematel. By joining Aspire Software, VSN plans to strengthen its global expansion efforts.
Michael Assi, CEO of Aspire Software, part of Valsoft, is “delighted” to enter the broadcast and media sector, and to partner “with an industry leader that offers innovative solutions to world-class global clients.” “We are impressed by VSN's value proposition and the customer-oriented culture that Jordi and his team have built over the last decades,” concludes Assi.
Valsoft was represented internally by David Felicissimo, legal advisor, and Pamela Romero, paralegal. On the other hand, VSN She was represented by Isabel Gandoy, partner of the Cuatrecasas law firm.
