On October 14, 20 European countries, including Spain, will receive the video on demand platform Globoplay, belonging to the Brazilian group Globo.

Globoplay, which will take advantage of the date to also reach Canada, includes among its extensive catalog soap operas, original series y brazilian movies, as well as live content through the channels TV Globo, Multishow, GloboNews, GNT, VIVA, SporTV y Premiere. This expansion to the old continent is part of the brand's consolidation strategy Globoplay, which is presented as the Brazilian streaming platform with the greatest global reach. Launched in 2015, its first step in internationalization took place with its arrival in the United States in 2020.

Raphael Corrêa Netto, Globo's international business director, states that the brand is very happy to “expand Globoplay's borders to new territories.” "Now, with more experience, we have taken a new step by taking our business to Europe and Canada. Globo streaming offers a universe of possibilities to our subscribers through movies, soap operas, original series and many other products available on the platform," adds Corrêa.
