PlayBox Technology Streaming

AirBox Connect, AirBox Connect+ and AirBox Mini, solutions aimed at the world of streaming, join Channel in a box, the integrated broadcast platform of PlayBox Technology.

PlayBox Technology, after identifying the interest in streaming and live content in the broadcast and audiovisual world, has presented a series of new tools and solutions aimed at addressing this critical area. AirBox Connect, a software-defined streaming solution designed to be used on-premises or in the cloud, leads the way. On the other hand, AirBox Connect+ is aimed at those who prefer to outsource content delivery. This latest tool is a complete live streaming management service, including asset management, advertising integration and content delivery network (CDN) integration, as well as live streaming software.

To meet the needs of those who stream from remote locations, PlayBox has also developed a “very compact and portable” streamer, the AirBox Mini, built on the very powerful NUC / Mini PC platform. Additionally, when performance is “critical,” the hardware encoder Eurisko Provides very low latency outputs in SDI, H.264/5, SRT and NDI.

In parallel, PlayBox has added two vital management layers, offering “easy” access to “powerful” workflow design and implementation tools, to ensure that automated playout and streaming is “accurate, consistent and intuitive.” Asset management is complemented by a subscriber management layer. Designed specifically for OTT services, this CMS is easily adaptable to create a tailored platform for managing revenue, whether the service is funded by advertising or subscriptions. Both tie in perfectly with PlayBox's traffic system.

Philip Neighbour, COO of PlayBox Technology, considers that, with these launches, the firm is communicating that “PlayBox is a one-stop shop for streaming and broadcasting.” “We can now provide everything you need (aside from software), whether you decide to host the hardware, run it in the cloud, or let us provide you with a full managed service,” he says.
