Four servers disguise vx 2 and five rx II rendering nodes power the new 270º hybrid set managed by Turner Sports that will be used to cover TNT of the NHL hockey league.

The new studio was built at the end of summer in just under two with the help of Turner Sports, a disguise certified solutions provider, and Meptik, a creative studio based in Atlanta. disguise's solution combines nine projectors, two LED video walls y multiple cameras in a single workflow.

The studio set follows TNT's style, channeling the look of modern stadiums with their huge screens and lighting effects. Among the subtle hockey style elements are the oval shape of the set, which reflects that of an ice rink; or the ice shard base of the presenter's table.

Regarding the visual resources of the set, these are displayed both in curved LED panels built to measure, as well as through projections that fill the rest of the visual canvas. The studio also features a diagonal LED screen and two large tracking monitors in its foreground, providing flexibility for presenters to communicate from different locations. All video, images and data are integrated into the scenery through the disguise.

Creating a set from scratch

Disguise created the visual assembly of the 3D set before the studio was built, which expedited its implementation once the integration was complete.
