Cinedeck develops software-based ingestion solution

Cinedeck has launched CD2, a software-only version of its ingest servers that shares the same features as its full range of ingest servers in a purely software solution.

Cinedeck CD2 allows television networks and content producers to quickly and easily ingest raw material ready for editing and distribution. Users can ingest with CD2 and distribute it live thanks to the functions Edit While Record y Playout While Record. For non-live content, ingest can be scheduled using the app. multichannel control Cinedeck.

CD2 allows multi-chamber intake and it is compatible with a wide range of formats such as JPEG2000, XAVC, ProRes, DNxHR, 4K Multicam and Cinedeck recorders. It also supports major input sources such as SRT, NDI, 3G/12G and IP-2110.

CD2 offers a wide selection of metadata text that can be recorded on the video image of a file while it is being recorded. It also allows you to control character output as an overlay on the user interface and SDI video output and/or as a recording on encoded video with fully adjustable position, size and color.
