Director and presenter José Luis Fradejas dies

José Luis Fradejas Salgado died this Thursday, April 7, in Madrid at the age of 72. He was host between 1978 and 1983 of the legendary musical program on Spanish Television, Applause with which he achieved numerous recognitions.

Fradejas developed his professional career in the press, radio and television. Throughout his professional career he has held positions as director and presenter of programs Under way y Comment 5 from RNE, scriptwriter and presenter of the program Applause and of The youth dances of Spanish Television.

It was also deputy director of Music Policy on TVE during the period 97/98 and a regular contributor to different music magazines.

In May 1999 he joined the staff of Antenna 3 to lead the Antena 3 Aragón delegation, where he directs the Regional News and the Aragón in depth program.

In 2004 he was appointed director of Multimedia Business of Telefónica Music Services and in 2005 content production manager for Telefónica Audiovisual Services.

Among other awards, it received the TP de Oro and the Ondas Best National Program for Applause as well as the Aro de Oro Award for Best Youth Program.
