The StorNext storage system from Quantum is now available as a subscription offer at AWS Marketplace. The system can be discovered first-hand at the Amsterdam RAI during IBC 2022.

StorNext Offered on a subscription model through AWS Marketplace without the need to create hardware infrastructure, custom configuration or installation of client software. This represents another step in the Quantum cloud strategy to meet customer needs for agile production storage content operations. StorNext in AWS Marketplace is available in a selection of subscription periods in four configurations, starting with an environment StorNext full 12 terabytes (TB) capacity. Each implementation can complement existing StorNext installations in a model hybrid or as a model fully cloud based to respond to the emerging needs and requirements of customers and partners.

Each StorNext solution features a complete StorNext shared storage environment and includes StorNext file system deployments in a selection of configurations. 12TB a 62,5TB, with services StorNext preconfigured and ready to use to manage and monitor clients, storage volumes, and data movement services such as Quantum FlexSync and FlexTier; a wide selection of subscription plans ranging from monthly to multi-year contracts, to suit clients' OPEX budgets; compatibility with Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) for bulk data storage, along with Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) y Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS); a easy connection via SMB without the need to install or configure client software, and the possibility of stagger data and content from StorNext volumes to Amazon S3, Amazon S3 Glacier, or other AWS storage services.

Nick Elvester, general manager of primary storage at Quantum, confirms that this is the first time that Quantum software is available for your licensing and deployment on public cloud infrastructure, “making it faster than ever to deploy and use StorNext.” From Amazon's side, Mona Chadha, director of AWS Marketplace e ISV Alliances, considers that “having Quantum's StorNext on AWS Marketplace will allow customers to build highly agile data and content workflows on AWS, addressing critical business needs and accelerating time to market.”
